Merry Christmas! We've been having such a great time in Ione for Christmas this year. Between all of the parties, cousins, food and more...we're keeping pretty busy. Hope you all had a GREAT year!!
Bryce with Olivia...we're trying out the "little sister" thing with her and so far - Bryce could care less. We're trying to figure out if that's a good thing or bad thing.
We started our festivities by going to Candy Cane Lane to check out the lights, train and Santa...so we bundled up...
and piled as many kids as possible into one car...
only to find that there was no Santa, trains and a lack of lights. For the first time since I was a little girl, they didn't do Candy Cane Lane. I almost wanted to cry. There was still one house that put up a crazy amount of lights, so I don't think the kiddos minded too much.
We made ginger bread houses...
and Cohen got into the chocolates...
and we went to Chuck E Cheese for the first time...
And then came Christmas Eve. We went to the Curran Christmas Eve party for a night of food, fun and lots of presents. Bryce got a tractor and an authentic cowboy outfit equipped with a pearl button cowboy shirt and wranglers thanks to Aunt Jill.
Bryce and Lola NOT impressed with getting their picture taken. They are both deliberately not looking at the camera - they must be related.
Then there was Christmas Morning. There was a lot of laughs and probably too many presents...but we wouldn't have it any other way.
A few days before Christmas Chase asked Bryce what he wanted from Santa on Christmas...he said "Ummm...golf balls??" How did he guess it...
And he also got a bowling set. He now carries around the golf balls AND the bowling ball wherever he goes.
He also got a bike from Grandma and Grandpa Townsend. His legs are still a little short, but he likes to sit on it! Thank you!!
Phil and Jenna threw the greatest Christmas party! It was a night full of GREAT treats, great people and a great white elephant gift exchange. It was quite a challenge to get a good picture of all the kids together...this was the best we could do. Thank you Jenna for such an AWESOME night!!!
6 months and counting!! I looked back at my 5 month picture to compare (here). I am just glad I remembered to take pictures this time because that was my only regret with Bryce...it's would be nice to look back at pictures from Bryce to compare. I definitely feel a lot bigger and somehow have managed to double my weight-gain in just 1 short month...which my doctor was NOT happy about! Oh well. For right now I'm enjoying the mid-pregnancy months where I'm not as tired, sick or too big to get around or sleep. Next month I get another ultrasound for placenta previa...hopefully the placenta has moved or I'm in BIG trouble!!! We're just praying everything will be fine!!
Justin has this little guy trained pretty well. If there is any sign of the OSU Cowboys anywhere...Bryce can spot it. He knows Pistol Pete and asks to wear his shirt and hat almost daily. It's a wonder why he's so obsessed with sports already...
We had a great week! We were lucky enough to have everyone come to us...we're so spoiled! Justin's grandparents ended up getting a house for us and the Baileys (Lori's sister) to stay in all together for Thanksgiving. We had such a great time! Here is our family picture in our BYU gear.
It's hilarious to watch these two! Mostly because Colton reminds me of Bryce when he was that young. Bryce is looking like such a little boy now and I think that in my mind he should still look like Colton.
The tub just looked like too much fun!
Today before Justin's parents left they took us to Mulligans to miniature golf. We couldn't have picked a better thing to do. Bryce LOVED it! I'm pretty sure that I know what we're getting him for Christmas now!! It was SO much fun to me because Bryce was beaming the whole time. And then when we had to give the golf clubs back...he didn't even cry or freak out!
...got diagnosed with asthma today. For about 4 or 5 months now he's had a chronic cough that wouldn't go away. The doctor thought it was an infection, then allergies, and now after all these trial and error runs...asthma. I wanted to cry for my little guy because he's been suffering all of this time! At least we're on the right track for him to start feeling better!
We got our ultrasound today (at 20 weeks) and we're having a GIRL!! Needless to say...I was SHOCKED!! I was so sure I was having a boy. In fact, when we were looking at the "parts" I was like..."so it's a boy, right?" and she's like..."nope!" and then I died. So while I'm expanding, she's just takin a load off...legs crossed and all.
We taped the whole ultrasound and it was pretty awesome (to see the full ultrasound video, click here.) Ever since the second I felt her move, she hasn't stopped moving. She is quite the active little miss! She wasn't too excited about the ultrasound and when the girl would push, she would kick back. We might have a fiesty one on our hands!!
